No matter how low off the ground you were when you started, no matter how shallow your short-comings, no matter the lack of expectations, does it still hurt when you don't achieve whatever it was you set out for?

There are moments when, with an accusing finger pointed at the anthrophomorphised representation of the world, I just want to yell "I QUIT!"

And the world will stare at me, blink, and slowly break into a wide smile. With a cant of its head, the world will ask ever-so-casually "Who are you again?"
